Robin Dawkins: Allusions »

Unbound Visual Arts, the new non-profit incorporated and based in Allston-Brighton to enliven the creative economy for artists and art supporters, is very pleased to announce the opening of Robin Dawkins: Allusions at the Athan’s Café Art Gallery in Brookline’s Washington Square. Robin’s bold, abstractions range in color from a jewel-tone or earthy palette to a gray scale punctuated with fire engine red or inky black. While each piece will inspire an interpretation of one’s own, viewers may see the Chrysler building in one piece or a finely cut diamond in another. The artist took her inspiration from the urban landscapes she travels through in her daily life. Her glimpses of the man-made structures and of nature in and around the Brookline area meld into her psyche and re-emerge as these delightful refracted worlds. This is her first one-person exhibition. A public reception with the artist is Sunday January 19th from 6:00-7:30 pm. The exhibition runs from January 9, 2014 through March 4, 2014 and is open daily from 8:00 am – 11:00 pm. Athan’s Café Art Gallery, 1621 Beacon Street (Washington Square), Brookline, MA.| MBTA: Green Line “D” | Handicapped accessible.
