Unbound Visual Art, the new non-profit incorporated to enliven the creative economy for all, is very pleased and excited to announce the opening of Martha Jane Bradford: Fragile Harmony. The exhibition, curated by John Quatrale, at the Athan’s Café Art Gallery in Brighton, is an exhibition of realistic digital drawings by Brookline artist Martha Jane Bradford that meticulously and faithfully recreate and portray the “fragile harmony” between nature and human activity. She strives to capture and to share her experiences in the natural world that she encounters all around us. These digital drawings of quiet landscapes and natural scenes convey a silent anticipation related to environmental coexistence. Her limited edition detailed hand-drawings, which strongly mimic photographs, also suggest “a spiritual narrative” for the viewer to develop. The drawings are created with a digital tablet and electronic hand pen and printed with archival inks on fine art paper. A public reception with the artist is Sunday November 17 from 6:00-7:30 pm. The exhibition runs from November 4, 2013 through January 1, 2014 and is open daily from 8:00 am – 10:00 pm. Athan’s Café Art Gallery, 407 Washington St., Brighton Center, MA.| MBTA: Buses 57, 65, 86, 501, 503.
