Nina Bellucci

My recent body of work combines a variety of methods, materials, and imagery like clouds, grids/nets, numbers, sun rays, and notebook paper, with the repetition of phrases like ‘Breathe’ and ‘Be Here’. The use of these phrases in my work and in my daily life helps me to find the focus and courage I need to explore questions of spirituality and to create with a playful and experimental mindset. I strive for a sense of movement, light, and air in each work by layering imagery with different textures and levels of transparency. Ultimately, I hope to encourage the viewer to take more time to look, to wonder, and to be present.
